With two medium-sized, highly athletic dogs with strong prey drives, we faced challenges managing them around certain stimuli. Evening walks in Southern California often mean navigating streets filled with aggressive, stalking coyotes. When our dogs encountered these predators, they would lunge to the end of their leashes, while the coyotes hunted in packs, aiming to isolate them.
